Justice for Every Client
Matonich Law is driven to work on behalf of infants, children, and pregnant women from all backgrounds. We represent our clients’ interests, taking on large institutions including medical systems, corporations, insurance companies, and operators of criminal corrections facilities.
We are not a high-volume law firm. We are instead focused on providing care and attention to clients where we can make a real difference. This starts with taking time to ask good questions and understand each story, including the impact each case has on the lives of patients, their families, and the community.
Drawing on our personal passion and commitment to making a difference in the lives of women and children, our firm provides comfort to clients and an understanding of their concerns.
We are listeners who lead sensitive conversations with compassion, and we are passionate about giving a voice to people who may otherwise feel helpless or hopeless. Our responsibility to clients extends beyond a settlement or a verdict. After a favorable verdict or settlement, we work with clients to suggest options or resources they can consider to help protect, invest, and use the money they receive.
Our firm measures success by how we make a positive difference in the lives of our clients and their families. We also hope that by bringing a lawsuit, our clients will prompt change within the medical systems, encouraging institutions to review and improve their practices and policies.
Medical Malpractice Involving Pregnant Women, Infants, and Children
Medical negligence can be financially and emotionally devastating, particularly when cases involve children. Matonich Law advocates on behalf of infants, children, and pregnant women who are harmed when health professionals fail to live up to the standard of care that is expected of them. This can include:
- Birth injuries/labor complications
- Failure to properly manage labor
- Failure to respond appropriately to fetal distress
- Inadequate prenatal or postnatal care
- Failure to diagnose or misdiagnosis
- Delayed diagnosis or treatment
- Surgical errors
- Emergency room errors
- Anesthesia errors
- Hospital negligence
- Improper use of medical devices or drugs
- Deprivation of access to reasonable medical care
Matonich Law is focused on and only accepts cases involving serious injury and culpability. We work closely with the most qualified medical experts to evaluate each case and prepare for trial.
The complexity, expense, and duration of medical malpractice cases can be particularly challenging. That’s why it’s important to work with a firm that possesses the proven experience and resources to successfully pursue them.
Matonich Law also has the experience and expertise to take on complex litigation. We give a voice to those who might otherwise be drowned out by the vast financial and legal resources of major healthcare organizations and other institutions.
Our firm measures success by how we make a positive difference in the lives of our clients and their families.
Advocacy for Pregnant Women Who Have Been Incarcerated
We strongly believe in the right to have adequate medical care in prisons and detention facilities. We will advocate for women who have been harmed by medical malpractice or denied access to treatment during their pregnancy, and for the infants who suffer harm as a result of negligence, within the criminal legal system.
We will pursue justice for these individuals when they lack the freedom to make choices about their care.
